Objective
The objective of this project was to create a series of 9 typographic posters that represented blue. Each poster consists of a type experiment that represents the idea of “Blue” in a unique and visually way.
I explored different digital and physical experiments to achieve a diverse range of poster designs. Although some concepts may be very specific to a few people familiar with them, each one is based on my personal experiences and attachments to the design.
A simple label allows the viewer to be curious about what's inside the box. It's followed by 9 very colorful posters that measure 11x17in.
The colophon displays a small portion of each poster to show what's ahead. I tried focusing on a small detail that would interest the person opening the box.
My creative process included a lot of sketches and experimentation. I had so much fun thinking of different ways to express the color blue.
"The Deep Blue Sea" is my favorite poster because I created the type to feel as if it has movement under water. The letters are filled in with the outlines of things found in the ocean.
